We will meet and park on A57 - Drive past the old Snake Inn from Sheffield Direction The car park is a large pull-in layby on the right opposite Snake Woodlands
A really stunning walk and one of my favourite ways up on to Kinder heading up Fairbrook, after an easy scramble we land ofn the edge of Kinder and follow the path around the palteau until we decend down to Snake woodlands., Super views to Alport castles and the surrounding hills . A super day out with a feeling of remoteness on a beautiful moorland with wild grouse and wildlife at your feet. Please bring food, drink, waterproofs, wear comfortable clothes and footwear. I am a fully qualified Mountain leader, hold Wilderness first aid qualification and NNAS (National navigation award scheme), I have Public liability insurance for working in the outdoors.
I am also a qualified Duke of Edingburgh assessor and spend time encouraging young people to enjoy the outdoors and make it fun. I am passionate about the outdoors and sharing it with like minded people. All my walks are female led and we spend time talking about the area, the flora and fauna, geology, and local history. Caring for the environment is very key to me and I support Peak District National park – ‘Moors for the future’ in the restoration of Peatland, I was chosen as one of the Peak District National parks 70 People for their 70 year anniversary, #70People70Years - Bev England: Peak District National Park
